Mad Trapper Sponsors

The Mad Trapper Snowshoe Series would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and all of them deserve my deepest, heartfelt thanks.

The Atlas Snowshoe Company is our presenting sponsor and is responsible for providing the Atlas Race Series Snowshoes presented to the male and female Series Champions.

Solefit Othotics is the title sponsor for our 5k race series and we would like to thank them for their assistance in helping us to formalize this category.

Bushtukah Great Outdoor Gear is our oldest and most supportive prize sponsor. It's thanks to this great store that so many Mad Trapper participants have the opportunity to go home with a prize.

Trailhead is another great retailer who has supported the Mad Trapper for many years now. They too have provided great prizing for our participants and have this year helped us host the Mad Trapper Snowshoe Clinic.

And this year the Mad Trapper Snowshoe Series is creating a new prize category with the support of Mountain Equipment Coop.

The MEC Conservation Awards will be distributed to Mad Trapper participants who demonstrate extra concern for the environment. So folks who carpool to the event, bring their own non-disposable dining supplies, water bottles, etc. will be eligible for this prizing.

Again this year, our Atlas 10k racers will wear re-usable Raid the North Adventure Race numbered bibs (don't worry they've all been washed after last winter's races!), and the Solefit 5k racers will be wearing bibs recycled from past summer and winter races.

The Ark is still off the grid and creating as much power as we can from the sun and wind. Food will be still be warmed on the same woodstove we use to space heat the room.

Cutlery we supply will be stainless steel and washed and re-used at the next race.

So we're doing all we can to host a "No Waste Race" event. We're hoping other race organizations will do what they can to follow our lead and we're hoping race participants will develop habits that can transfer to other races and day-to-day life in general.
